Yoddha had a decent first week of around 2.50 crore nett but considering the amount of holidays that were there the collections were not as good as they should be. Also on the weekdays its decent hold was due to holidays but when there are holidays the hold should not be decent but good. At centres where there was no holiday from tuesday onwards the film did show noticeable drops in collections.The trend does not look good for week two as it will not get support of holidays. The best case scenario for the film looks around 4-5 crore nett for lifetime business. It is possible it may fall short of that mark and much will depend on the business in the second weekend.
It was unarguably the biggest clash at box office of 2014. Two films, of diverse genre and for different target audience, are clashing at box office. It was expected that Dev starrer ''''Yoddha"" will take a biggest opening of 2014. The film released in 180+ screens all over west bengal it did lose some key screens to '' Bachchan''. Clash has taken away the sheen out of such a huge opening because despite such a response,film will not be able to beat any day one record.Film collected 42 lacs nett on day one( estimated) .There was no doubt that the film should collect 1.2 - 1.3 cr in the weekend.
Film dropped in metros andeven mass centers did not hold well due toworking day in few parts. As per report the collection of Bachchan is more stronger than Yoddha.
Film collected 3.50 lakhs gross in Rupasi Multiplex ,Tripura in 1 week. Film has to cross 10 cr nett minimum looking at the budget otherwise all holiday benefit will be lost and it will struggle to cross 5 cr nett mark. Which is very bad.
